Videographer and editing rates: hourly and day rates
What affects video production prices
Number of shoot days
Time on location is the biggest part of the cost. Half a day is enough for an interview or a product, while a commercial with several scenes usually needs a full day or two. A well planned schedule often saves a whole day.
Crew size
A single videographer with a camera is the most affordable option. A separate sound recordist, gaffer, second camera or drone pilot raises the price, but the result is more reliable, especially at events and interviews.
Script and concept
If you already have the idea and script, you only pay for filming and editing. If we develop the concept, script and shot list, that is separate work, which usually pays off with fewer reshoots and a clearer message.
Locations and travel
Filming in Riga is the simplest. Travel to other Latvian towns or across the Baltics, location hire, permits for public spaces and drone zones add to the cost. We list all of it in the quote upfront, so there are no surprises.
Editing complexity and graphics
A simple edit with music and titles is quick. Colour grading, motion graphics, logo animation, complex sound work or lots of multi-camera footage take more editing hours and cost more accordingly.
Urgency and versions
The first edit is usually ready in 3-7 working days. If you need the video the next day, the team works evenings, and that affects the price. Extra formats, cut-downs and language versions are also priced separately.
Video production prices: FAQ
How much does a 1-minute video cost?
Length matters less than you might think. A one-minute video cut from existing footage can cost a few hundred euros, while a one-minute commercial with a script, actors and several locations needs several shoot days. What counts is shoot time, crew and the amount of editing.
What is included in the price?
Package prices include filming with professional equipment, editing, basic colour grading, sound processing, two rounds of revisions and the finished video in the format you need. The table above shows exactly what each package covers.
How does payment work?
Usually 50% in advance before the shoot to book the date and crew, and the remaining 50% on delivery of the finished video. We invoice companies. For larger projects we can agree on staged payments.
How many revisions are included?
Two rounds by default: you can change the edit, texts, music and order of scenes. If you need more changes or a new version after that, we tell you the price first and only then start work.
Are music licences included?
We use licensed library music that covers most videos for social media and websites. If you want a specific well-known track or the video will air on TV, the licence is priced separately and agreed before editing.
Can you work within a fixed budget?
Yes. Tell us your budget and we will suggest what fits: fewer shoot hours, a smaller crew, one location or a simpler edit. That way you get the best video possible for an amount that works for you.
